Thanks to all that reported bugs. I’ve been reviewing them and will have the majority of them addressed for the next beta release, which I am anticipating sometime during the weekend or this coming Monday.

i keep getting an error which creates a “stderr.txt” file which pretty much says:
“libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile” 13 Times!
then it says “Error – Exception caught in main: see CRASHLOG.TXT for info” at the bottom
could this be the reason I cant play? 😦

    Thanks Mark.

Does anyone have a game save that is complete except for dolphin mode and vulture mode? I’ve earned both these and they alter gameplay but there’s no way to turn them off.

I noticed with the Sacred Manacle that it should actually be making a rumbling sound when charging. An idea for a mod would be to give the flamethrower the burst of steam that it has in the PC version.

I didn’t include any mods that weren’t the ones that Kaiser had included himself. Same for the patched game files. Thanks for helping ensure the others can get ahold of it. I think there are some important fixes with this patch.

Of course… My apologies. I thought Kaiser had stopped work on that patch and you had continued for him. Thanks anyway Ryan.

I wanted to get ahold of and share the most recent work that he had done on this, which is this patch, which addressed the jumping control issue that I think is important for gameplay for a game that requires very precise jump control. It’s a fantastic port and nobody’s giving up on it, it’s just kind of on hiatus for now. It has some rough edges but other than the issues some users are having and minor things in-game, it’s pretty solid. I can work to try and help users get the game working but Kaiser is still at the helm with his engine and his source code, presently working on Turok EX which I’m sure will also be excellent. I think a lot of user issues are related to incompatible video chips (such as embedded Intel solutions which I’m not sure are supported, maybe someone can confirm/deny this) and drivers and needed redistributables (Visual C++) not being installed. It’s also possible that some may be related to data execution prevention being enabled on more than just system files. I have it up and running on an XP SP3 machine with all currently available Visual C++ redistributables installed and DEP enabled just for system files using the latest NVIDIA drivers. I haven’t done any of my own work on this, I’m just trying to allow others to enjoy it. Getting the chance to enjoy these classics ported to the PC so accurately is always a treat.

I’ve never been happy with the washed out look I seem to get on my monitor, so I have been tampering around with SweetFX… Anyway here’s my Vibrant preset, just extract the zip in your Powerslave EX folder where the executable is and play…

Correction. I put the wrong SweetFX Settings file… This preset is actually by CeeJay.dk so credit to him, it’s a little high on the Gamma for me though but try it out.

Something missing is the health recharge when you are teleported back to Ramses. Is that something that could be added with what we have available? The bosses not staying dead is another, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that would need changes in the binary.
